Welcome to Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church!

Established in 1812, Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church has a rich tradition as a country church perched on the hills overlooking the Brandywine River. Historically our church served the farmers of Talleyville and the factory workers of Rockland, Delaware. Today we continue practicing a mighty spiritual faith as a warm and loving congregation committed to worshiping God and serving the community in this beautiful, historic setting.

Join us for worship on Sunday mornings at 11:00 a.m!

NEWS & ANNOUNCEMENTS

As the next step in our “Creation Restoration” campaign, we have added a 45’ x 9’ Butterfly Garden by the upper parking lot.  The contents are specifically designed to attract and nourish butterflies (Delaware boasts over 30 butterfly species).  When the plants begin blooming this July, come by and try to identify a few!

The garden is filled with winterberry, amsonia, milkweed, goldenrod, bee balm, coneflower, mountainmint, butterfly bush and asters.  We have applied to be registered on the Rosalynn Carter Butterfly Trail – just the second garden in Delaware and the only one “North of the Canal.”

We want to thank our partners: Jose Tapia Landscaping (for prepping the beds), and Gateway Garden Center in Hockessin for selecting the plants and designing the garden.  We supplied the planting and watering labor, of course.
